On many occasions, both for business and pleasure, I have visited and revisited the following countries: Australia, Brunei, Cambodia, China and the territory of Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Korea, Maldives, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Republic of Uzbekistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

I took a training course “Mediation and Conflict Prevention”, organized in November 2002 by The Hong Kong Mediation Council in Sydney, Australia.

I have served as arbitrator or arbitration counsel in arbitral and post arbitral proceedings where the parties involved came from: China, Hong Kong, India, Korea, Malaysia, Mongolia, Singapore and Taiwan.

 

I participated in international seminars focusing on arbitration in Asia:

  • Meeting Business Needs in the Middle East, Effective Dispute Resolution for the Region, organized by ICC, CIArb and DIAC in Dubai, November 2004
  • Institutional Arbitration in Asia (ICC, SIAC) in Singapore, February 2005
  • East Asia and International Commercial Arbitration (ICC,KCAB,KOCIA), Seoul, Korea 2006
  • IX Biennial IFCAI International Conference „Critical Issues in International Commercial Arbitration”, New Delhi, 2007.

  • 44th Annual General Meeting of Indian Council of Arbitration (ICA), New Delhi, 2010

 

As a member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration in Paris I participated in scrutiny proceedings involving parties deriving from various Asian countries, and challenges of arbitrators coming from, or dealing with cases of this continent.

 

My former firm 大成DENTONS has a strong presence in Asia. For many years we have had offices in Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, and now大成DENTONS has become the biggest law firm in the world.
